Government to Adopt Policy to Encourage Private Sector: PM Oli

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that his government will adopt policies aimed at boosting the morale of the private sector and encouraging investment. In a meeting with the office-bearers of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) on Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that the development of the country is not possible without the promotion and expansion of the private sector. He assured that the new government will adopt a policy to facilitate and encourage entrepreneurs.

According to a press statement issued by the FNCCI, Prime Minister Oli expressed a commitment to take special initiatives for the advancement of the private sector, highlighting its essential role in improving the economy. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel was also present at the meeting, indicating strong governmental support for the initiative.

During the meeting, FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal led a delegation that emphasized the need for regulatory bodies related to business and enterprises to coordinate with each other and encourage investment. The delegation also suggested the formation of an Economic Reforms Commission or a similar mechanism involving the private sector under the leadership of the Prime Minister to enhance the economy.
